The focus of the Pipe Support Engineer is to plan organize coordinate and prepare engineering analysis and design of piping and/or pipe supporting systems for assigned engineering/design projects from pre-contract sales support to Order Release and through customer acceptance of deliverables ensuring that technical quality schedule and cost commitments are met.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated capabilities in collaborating with others to perform engineering tasks within a team environment. Work experience with a privately held company will be beneficial.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The Pipe Support Engineer will:

  • Prepare engineering analysis of piping system design and/or pipe supporting systems.
  • Monitor and control all assigned design work for contracts and proposals.
  • Coordinates all design assignment activities for contract and proposal work.
  • Maintains effective communication and working relationships.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering.
  • 3-5 years as a Pipe Support Engineer or comparable experience preferred.
  • EIT certification preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of basic design and analysis methods and applicable codes.
  • General business acumen

Characteristics and Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deal with ambiguity and competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Motivated with a focus on results
  • High energy and commitment
  • Mechanical and analytical aptitude
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient in CAD (AutoCAD products preferred).
  • Must be willing to travel 15-25% of the time to various plant sites.

Essential Physical Abilities:

  • Ability to sit or stand at a desk using a computer 80% of the time.
  • Ability to accommodate varying work schedules.
  • Ability to perform basic physical duties such as nominal lifting bending and dexterity.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Pay Range: $90000 to $105000 annual pay based on skills and experience
