(Senior) Energy Trading Market Access Software Specialist / 2nd Level Support

in the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) Market Access & Intraday Solutions team.

Market Access enables business in BA Markets through timely and sustainable delivery of application development and support in the area of Energy Trading. You will be responsible for our Market Access applications from system analyses and daily support to change management. This includes the coordination of external software suppliers configuration management follow-up on market changes and on-the-floor trader support.

Your key responsibilities:

• Direct interaction with traders software vendors and IT departments in Vattenfall
• Provide technical support and resolve problems for our trading business
• Enable trade execution for traders and automate trading processes in close collaboration with the application vendor
• Monitor analyze and fix the Front Office IT system 
• Hands-on application support and development using Java and/or Python
• Exploring latest technologies and potentials for (business) process automation
• Improve our work environment and methodologies on a daily basis to streamline daily operations and enhance team motivation
• Contribute actively to the SCRUM events of the agile & DevOps team and adhere to the established SCRUM framework.

Qualifications :

Your profile:

If you are eager to learn and curious to enter into a new career you will be in the right spot. The ETRM MA Team welcomes career changers e.g. coming from a banking or finance background.

• University degree in Business and Information Technology Engineering or another related field
• Experience with marketplace connectivity complex IT network architecture and low latency communication is required including the systems being supported: E*Star Energy Trading Solution Trading Technologies and Trayport 
• Practical hands-on software development experience with Java and Angular and/or Python
• Prior experience working with Splunk Grafana Kafka Jenkins is required 
• Experience with supporting news & data provider infrastructure from LSEG (formerly Reuters/Refinitiv) and Bloomberg is beneficial 
• Experience with Front Office support in any type of trading environment 
• Significant working experience with overall IT support and operations  
• Willingness to stretch over the full service chain (from 1st level support up to coding and supplier coordination) 
• Ability to analyse and solve problems systematically  
• Being passionate and reliable about your work 
• Working well with others and communicating effectively  
• Fluent in English written and spoken while German or Swedish would be beneficial
