Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Senior or Lead Procurement Agent to support the Supply Chain Proprietary Team in Albuquerque NM Philadelphia PA San Antonio TX Seal Beach CA or Seattle WA!

The Mid-Level Senior or Lead Procurement Agent will create and manage major supplier purchase contracts in support of BDS Programs. Candidates should have experience with the entire procurement life cycle to include developing Supplier Buy to Packages Requests for Proposal evaluating bids creating and issuance of Purchase Contracts and pre/post award contract administration through closeout.

The successful Agent would manage multiple subcontracts expeditiously while ensuring that policies and procedures are followed. Additional responsibilities could include issuance and administration of Teaming Agreements Proprietary Information Agreements New Business and Proposal Support.

Position Responsibilities (Mid-Level 3 )

• Integrates program customer product and in-service strategies into source selection negotiation and contracting strategies

• Negotiates pricing and contract terms and conditions
• Prepares and executes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements
• Conducts risk issues and opportunities management
• Manages supply and demand schedules supplier quality delivery and financial performance
• Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies

Position Responsibilities (Senior 4)

• Provides oversight and management of supply and demand schedules supplier quality delivery and financial performance
• Leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions
• Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements
• Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions
• Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues
• Leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities
• Participates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies

Position Responsibilities (Lead 5) :

• Develops procurement and supply chain solutions strategies and policies to support customer requirements

• Develops and executes company strategic business goals and objectives
• Consults on proposal analyses and development of negotiation strategies
• Formalizes procurement requirements with customers and leads the supplier negotiation process
• Prepares and executes negotiated documents
• Ensures compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
• Manages contract terminations
• Develops organization and company improvement plans

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 2 years of experience in Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer
• 2 years of experience with Supplier Management or Procurement practices and processes
• 2 years of experience drafting negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts
• 2 years of experience in analyzing supply chain data
• 2 years of experience communicating and presenting supply chain information to leadership
• 2 years of experience interpreting and/or enforcing contract terms and conditions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelors degree or higher
• Experience working on government proposals to include Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) compliant proposals
• 2 years of experience participating in the acquisition process for both international and U.S. defense equipment including the planning budgeting and procurement of defense material
• 2 years of experience in proposal development and contract negotiations with U.S. Government Customers
• 2 years of experience working with U.S. Department of Defense contracts
• 2 years of experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations)
