As the Hospice RN Branch Director you will be responsible for overseeing daily branch operations ensuring quality and efficiency. Coordinates with the parent office care team patients families and referral sources. Manages staff resources and branch-level quality initiatives in alignment with agency policies.

  • Directs and coordinates branch and assumes responsibility for continuity quality and safety of services delivered. Identifies problem areas to Administrator / Supervising Nurse.
  • Promotes the philosophy and administrative policies of the Agency in an effort to ensure quality of patient/client care.
  • Supervises and provides direction to subordinates in an effort to ensure quality and continuity of services.
  • Employs recruits manages and directs qualified personnel to carry out the policies and procedures of the Agency. Ensures staff education and evaluations.
  • Promotes and monitors compliance with fiscal intermediary and / or other third-party payors federal and state regulations through education coaching QAPI program and other assistance as necessary.
  • Monitors operational systems for efficiency and compliance with regulations and identifies problem areas to Administrator / Supervising Nurse.
  • Provides communication to parent office regarding needs of the branch to include personnel needs financial needs professional practices quality issues and planning.
  • Assures documentation of services provided is accurate and timely.
  • Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills; facilitates the use of these skills by other team members to achieve desirable outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Current license as a registered nurse (RN) in Texas and/or in accordance with the Board of Nurse .
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with 1 years in a leadership role in hospice or palliative care.
  • Strong understanding of hospice regulations and standards.
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Reliable transportation. Valid and current auto liability insurance.
