Job Description
About the Position:
Ferman Chevrolet of Tarpon Springs a trusted and high-performing Chevrolet / General Motors dealership is looking for an Experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead our dynamic service department. This is a critical leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment and has extensive knowledge of GM service operations customer satisfaction and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the service department ensuring efficiency profitability and excellent customer service
- Lead coach and support service advisors technicians and support staff
- Maintain compliance with all GM warranty and service procedures
- Maximize departmental performance by tracking KPIs labor hours and CSI scores
- Ensure smooth coordination with Parts and Sales departments
- Develop and implement customer retention strategies and service promotions
- Maintain a clean safe and productive work environment
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience as a Service Manager in a high-volume dealership (Chevrolet/GM experience strongly preferred)
- Proven leadership and team-building skills
- Deep understanding of GM warranty guidelines systems and service procedures
- Strong customer service and conflict-resolution abilities
- Familiarity with DMS software (CDK Reynolds & Reynolds or similar)
- ASE and/or GM certifications preferred
