Project Engineer - Manufacturing
Location: Burnley
Salary: 40000 - 50000
About the Opportunity
We are looking for a practical solutions-driven Project Engineer to strengthen our clients team in Burnley. You will play a pivotal role in delivering manufacturing and process improvement projects within a business that values innovation operational excellence and quality. This role is well-suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to make a tangible impact.
Key Duties
Manage and execute engineering projects from initial concept through to full-scale implementation.
Enhance and refine production processes particularly within polyurethane systems.
Identify and drive initiatives that improve process efficiency safety and product quality.
Work collaboratively with R&D Quality and Production teams to support project goals.
Provide hands-on technical troubleshooting and shop floor support as needed.
Champion cost-saving measures through lean principles and Six Sigma practices.
Create and maintain technical documentation project updates and validation protocols.
About You
Degree qualified in Mechanical Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering (or similar).
Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment in a practical hands-on capacity.
Skilled in developing and refining processes to drive continuous improvement.
Background working with polyurethane materials or systems is a significant advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive can-do attitude.
Confident communicator with effective project management skills.
