The CHS Policy Management Specialist will provide support to the Policy Management and Nursing Education Programs for Centralus Health. The Specialist assists operational leaders in enhancing their policies and standard operating procedures across the continuum of care. Supports the Nursing and Patient Care Services with policy management. Responsible for maintaining nursing/clinical polices. Must work independently with general guidance amongst a wide span of nursing leaders. Must be resourceful and provide guidance to operational leaders on ways to consolidate align and ensure policies are updated. Responsible for outlining policies vs clinical practice standards of care.
The Specialist will report to the Nursing Informatics leader to ensure alignment of Epic implementation and optimization with policy management. The role assists the AVP of Clinical transformation in the implementation of evidence-based practices affecting nursing practice. Partners with nurse leadership nursing staff providers families and caregivers to review incidents that require a need for policy development in order to maintain safe timely effective efficient equitable and patient-centered care.
