Job Description

First Line Manufacturing Manager (Propulsion South Carolina)

Boeing Commercial Airplanes Supply Chain is seeking a First Line Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to join our PSC (Propulsion South Carolina) team in North Charleston SC.

You will be responsible for helping to develop and execute manufacturing operations & strategy ensuring technical & customer requirements are achieved and aligning authority and responsibility of support functions with all groups (Supply Chain Engineering Operations etc.).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines

  • Develops and executes business plans policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies

  • Acquires resources provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships/partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes

  • Manages leads coaches develops and motivates employees

  • Promotes employee engagement and enhances company and team culture

  • Collaborates and works with various teams to execute to safety quality delivery and cost commitments using the Boeing Production system

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • 1 years of experience leading or managing others

  • 1 years of experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook PowerPoint Excel and Word)

  • Willingness to work any shift based on business needs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Associates degree or higher

  • Boeing Production System (BPS) (or relevant production system) knowledge/experience

  • Self-motivated works well independently

  • Ability to create a cohesive and engaged team

  • Experience motivating and influencing others to act innovate and achieve goals

  • Aerospace related experience (MRO 737 Max and 787 Engine Build Up)

Shift:

This is a variable shift position but targeting 2nd as primary shift need currently. Willingness to work any shift based on business needs required.
