Job Description

Description

Assists pathologists in the preparation and performance of human surgical specimen dissection and performance of human postmortem examinations. Assists with and/or performs gross dictation of complex surgical specimens. As directed by supervising pathologist(s) manager or administrator may assume other responsibilities including work flow management research and/or teaching duties. Assesses data reflective of the patients status and appropriately interprets information relative to the patients age-specific needs.

**This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Also Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program**



Qualifications

Graduate of a Masters Level approved Pathologists Assistant program. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology medical practices and human anatomy. Focused attention to detail communication skills strong problem solving capabilities accountability. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span.

License or Certifications:

PA(ASCP) - Must be attained within one year of start date.
