Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a motivated Intern for our Sputter Process Engineering team in Bayan Lepas Malaysia. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in thin film deposition techniques and contribute to cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of sputtering equipment
- Collect and analyze data from sputter deposition processes
- Support process optimization efforts through data interpretation and statistical analysis
- Participate in experiments to improve thin film quality and deposition efficiency
- Participate in precious metal cost saving project
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot process issues
- Maintain accurate documentation of experimental procedures and results
- Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sputtering processes
- Present findings and recommendations to the engineering team
Qualifications :
REQUIRED
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Materials Science Physics Chemical Engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge of sputtering processes and thin film deposition techniques
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow cleanroom protocols and safety procedures
PREFERRED:
- Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g. Minitab JMP)
- Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Familiarity with cleanroom operations
SKILLS
- Basic understanding of vacuum systems and semiconductor manufacturing processes
- Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel Word PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
