Job Description
To help build out maintain and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure we are looking for a System Engineer.
Together with a talented global competence team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability performance and security you:
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
- Install configure test and maintain operating systems application software and system management tools
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks identify possible solutions and work with developers to implement those fixes
- Maintain security backup and redundancy strategies
- Provide 3rd level support
- Duty Support (24/7 on call every 7 weeks)
You report to the Hosting Team Lead and work for multiple sites/plants of the Tessenderlo Group
Qualifications :
- Minimum 5 years of experience as System Engineer
- Experience in installing configuring and troubleshooting of Windows Server and Active Directory:
- Microsoft Windows Server OS/dB Admin Microsoft SQL/O365/Azure
- GUI Admin - Domain Controller (AD/GPO/ADFS/..)
- PowerShell - Command Line
- Azure Active Directory AD Connect
- Azure Admin virtual machine
- Microsoft Windows Server OS/dB Admin Microsoft SQL/O365/Azure
- Experience with Azure Cloud
- Experience with Linux based environments & System Admin
- SLE (Suse Linux Enterprise)
- Experience with virtualization preferably with hyperconverged infrastructure solutions and/or containerization:
- Nutanix HCI AHV (Min. Ver 5.11) is a good asset
- Prism Central/AFS
- Acropolis
- And/or VMWare HCI ESXi (Min. Ver 7)
- Vsphere center
- Nutanix HCI AHV (Min. Ver 5.11) is a good asset
- Experience with storage and back-up solution with Rubrik is a good asset
- And/or Security Layer
- Trend Deep Security/Apex One/Trend Mail Gateway
- First experience with monitoring systems i.e. Nagios Check MK
- Scripting skills (e.g. shell scripts ) is a good asset
- Overview networking knowledge (OSI network layers TCP/IP) is a good asset: Layer 1 and 2
- Customer-oriented team player with good communication skills in Dutch-English or French-English both written and verbally.
- With your proactive approach you keep on spotting opportunities for simplification and automation.
- Writing procedures & documentation
- Willing to travel occasionally within Europe.
