We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Payroll Manager to join our team in Houston United States. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the companys payroll operations ensuring accuracy compliance and timely processing of employee compensation.
- Manage and process weekly and bi-weekly payrolls across multiple company codes for North American hourly and salaried employees using Payroll Software (ADP) which includes but is not limited to:
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll regulations and tax requirements.
- Administer time tracking and payroll system maintaining accurate records for compliance.
- Process and monitor garnishment orders accurately.
- Manage direct deposit requests and data securely.
- Obtain necessary signatures/approvals for payroll distribution.
- Adjust pay for raises bonuses and commissions accurately.
- Manage payroll taxes benefit deductions expense reimbursements and other payroll-related tasks.
- Assist employees with payroll inquiries issues and employment verifications. Research and resolve various personnel payroll and benefits issues with discretion.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of sensitive payroll information
- Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports to management and accounting.
- Assist with employee 401k setup and administration. Handle 401(k) contributions ensuring compliance with relevant laws funding and tax implications.
- Administer benefits software (ADP) ensuring data integrity for enrollments and changes.
- Perform administrative tasks including filing record keeping and audits (e.g. annual I-9 audit)
Qualifications :
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll management including multi-state payroll processing
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred
- Proficiency in payroll software systems (e.g. ADP Workday or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills and strong mathematical aptitude
- In-depth knowledge of payroll tax laws FLSA FMLA and other relevant labor laws
