The NYC Department of Design and Construction (DDC) Law Division seeks to hire an Investigator. The selected candidate will conduct investigations and research pertaining to this Agencys disciplinary program under Section 75 of the New York Civil Service Law and internal policies; conduct fact-finding interviews; prepare written and statistical reports; utilize computer systems to assist in the processing of investigations; maintain case records; serve legal process; give testimony at administrative proceedings; review referrals of allegations to determine appropriate action;
review and maintain agency policies procedures and regulations regarding employee discipline and conduct extensive field work.
Authorization to work in the United States is required for this position. Qualifications :
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and four years of satisfactory full-time experience in one or more of the fields of accounting auditing correction administration criminal justice administration and planning forensic science and security or in a major operational area of the agency in which the appointment is to be made; or
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college; or
Education and/ or experience equivalent to 1 or 2 above.
