Bordereaux Coordinator

Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bordereaux Coordinator to join our Underwriting team based in Barcelona. A bordereau is a detailed report or spreadsheet provided by brokers cover holders (such as MGAs) or third parties. These reports typically outline premiums claims and risk data associated with insurance policies written under delegated authority. In this role you will be responsible for managing and validating bordereaux data submissions from brokers cover holders or third-party administrators for the Financial Lines Insurance division.

Your role will ensure accurate and timely reporting compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements and seamless integration with internal systems. You will directly report to the Chief of Staff.

To perform these tasks you will have to liaise with the different departments involved in this process such as Underwriting and the administrative departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive review and validate the incoming bordereaux files (premium claims risk) in line with agreed standards and timelines.
  • Validate data quality completeness and format in accordance with internal and external requirements.
  • Work closely with underwriters operations data teams and external partners to resolve discrepancies or missing data.
  • Ensure existing bordereaux are uploaded into our internal bordereaux applications.
  • Map new bordereaux into our internal bordereaux applications.
  • Monitor and track bordereaux submissions to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Support audits and regulatory reporting requirements related to delegated authority or third-party relationships.
  • Maintain documentation of processes controls and issues identified/resolved.
  • Act as a point of contact to onboard new bordereaux ensuring proper governance and alignment with internal processes.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Claims departments to follow up on payment status and claims development linked to the bordereaux.
  • Assist in ongoing process improvements and automation initiatives.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in bordereaux management delegated underwriting authority (DUA) underwriting operations or insurance data processing.
  • Strong knowledge of bordereaux file types formats (Excel XML etc.) and reporting standards (e.g. Lloyds Cover holder Reporting Standards) is an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Proficient in Excel; knowledge of data tools or bordereaux management platforms is a plus (VIPR) and reporting tools (Power BI).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders
  • Fluent in English
