Job Description
Visa is heavily investing in its Global Product Design Team to help support its growing digital product ecosystem which is comprised of four specializations: Consumer Commercial Money Movement Value-Added Services and Platforms. We are looking for a Senior Designer to join our Platforms Team.

In this role you will model excellent UX principles and mentor junior staff. The Senior Designer is an experienced individual contributor who will be responsible for designing usable accessible and engaging user experiences for Visas digital product line.
Role responsibilities include:
- Design usable accessible and engaging digital experiences for the web and mobile
- Own and make design decisions based on a thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design principles
- Exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor
- Collaborate with business partners and build upon their vision using sound UX principles
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff
- Responsible for the strategic oversight of product lines
- Be an advocate for our users
- Capture requirements design flows wireframes testable prototypes and fully fleshed out designs
- Document your designs and consult with engineers to ensure they are built and function as intended
- Effectively demonstrate strong problem-solving skills customer service and interpersonal skills
Essential Functions
- Proficiency designing and developing prototypes using Figma Sketch Invision or other industry tools
- Proficiency designing high-fidelity mockups using Figma Sketch or other industry tools
- Subject Matter Expertise in interaction design
- Experience conducting usability tests (including with users with disabilities) a plus
- Experience working with SCRUM in an Agile environment a plus
- Subject Matter Expertise in Accessibility (508/WCAG) a plus
- Group facilitation and teaching (design thinking) skills a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including thorough and methodical attention to detail
- Fully fluent in English and able to understand and be easily understood in English
- Ability to communicate concepts and recommendations confidently to a variety of audiences
- Ability to self-manage time and work independently or as part of a team
- An online portfolio that demonstrates outstanding product and ecosystem thinking
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications
2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications
3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD)
Bachelors Degree in Human Factors Design Psychology Sociology or related field

Work Authorization: Permanent Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position. Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position.
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 105800.00 to 149550.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge skills experience and location. In addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) FSA/HSA Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Wellness Program.
