Job Description

We are seeking a skilled In Vivo Research Associate with prior industry experience in CNS-focused preclinical research. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on expertise in rodent dosing stereotactic surgery and CNS tissue dissection gained in a biotech pharmaceutical or CRO environment.

Youll play a key role in executing in vivo studies that support our neuroscience pipeline working closely with cross-functional teams to generate high-quality translational data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform rodent dosing via IV IP and SC routes.
  • Conduct stereotactic and microscopic surgeries including ICV and IT injections.
  • Dissect CNS and peripheral tissues including brain sub-regions dorsal route ganglion and spinal cord.
  • Collect and process blood and tissue samples for downstream analysis.
  • Maintain accurate records in an electronic lab notebook (ELN).
  • Collaborate with internal teams and CROs to troubleshoot and refine in vivo protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with animal welfare regulations and internal SOPs

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Neuroscience Biology Pharmacology or related field.
  • 2 years of hands-on in vivo experience in an industry setting (biotech pharma or CRO).
  • Proficiency in rodent handling dosing and CNS-focused surgical techniques.
  • Experience with stereotactic injections and CNS tissue dissection.
  • Familiarity with ELN systems (e.g. Benchling).
  • Strong attention to detail documentation and adherence to SOPs.
  • Unwavering commitment to safety and animal welfare policies.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Preferred:

  • Experience with ICV (mouse) and IT (rat) injections.
  • Background in neuroscience-focused CRO or biotech company.
  • Knowledge of CNS disease models and behavioral assays.


Additional Information :

What to Expect in the Hiring Process: 

  • 10-15 Minute Phone Interview with Region Recruiter
  • 45-60 Minute Virtual Interview with Manager and/or Group Leader
  • 60 Minute Onsite Meeting with the Team 

Additional Details: 

This is a full-time onsite position based on a first-shift schedule (Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM) with occasional weekends and overtime required as needed. Candidates located within a commutable distance to Boston MA are strongly encouraged to apply.
