Main Purpose of Job
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:Six years of experience compiling and maintaining health records.
Notes:
may substitute the possession of an Associate of Arts degree in Medical Records Sciences from an accredited college or university and four years of experience compiling and maintaining health records for the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a current registration as a Registered Health Information Technician by the American Health Information Management Associationfor two years of the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute two years of experiencesupervising employees engaged in health records processing and maintenance in a health records program for a health carefacility or program for two years of the required experience.
4. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Medical Record classifications or Patient Administration Specialists and Health Services Management specialty codes in thehealth records management field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
