Responsibilities
Join a collaborative mission-driven team at Rapides Womens & Childrens Hospital with Pediatrix Medical Group.
Are you aboard-certified Pediatric Intensivistlooking for a fulfilling role with a flexible schedule and a supportive team This is your chance to make a meaningful impact in a well-establishedLevel II PICU while supplementing your income with some per diem shifts.

- Flexible schedule of rounding with home call (30-minute response time)

Your Clinical Scope
- Inpatient Pediatric Floor
- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
- Pediatric Sedation Services
- No ECMO or post-op hearts
- Procedures include: intubations lumbar punctures line placement chest tubes CPR
- Documentation: H&Ps progress notes discharge summaries

- Pediatric Admissions: 550/year
- PICU Admissions: 250300/year
- Pediatric ADC: 6 PICU ADC: 3
- Subspecialty Support: Cardiology Pulmonology GI
- Monthly Subspecialty Clinics: 12x/month

Qualifications
- Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care
- Active LA medical license or IMCL license preferred
- A minimum of 1-year post-fellowship clinical experience required
- Recent Pediatric Intensivist experience required (within the past 12 months)
Benefits and Compensation
Pediatrix does cover your travel expenses (round trip flight/rental car or mileage and lodging) for those who reside outside a commutable distance from the practice.
We also cover your malpractice insurance for this W-2 per diem position.
