We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to teach multiple subjectssuch as English Language Arts Math Science and/or Social Studiesto students in Grades 5 or 6 within a middle school setting. The ideal candidate is a flexible collaborative teacher who values interdisciplinary learning and is committed to meeting the developmental and academic needs of early adolescent learners.Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging standards-based instruction across multiple subject areas.Create a classroom environment that supports academic risk-taking student voice and a strong sense of community.Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student learning and adjust instruction accordingly.Collaborate with grade-level and content-area teams to develop integrated units and cross-curricular connections.Communicate regularly with families and staff to support each students academic and social-emotional growth.Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to school-wide initiatives including but not limited to the New Professional Staff Orientation and Mentor Program.QualificationsBachelors degree in Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).MA DESE license in Elementary (16) or appropriate Middle School (58) licensure in content areas.Demonstrated ability to teach and manage a classroom across multiple subjects.Experience working with upper elementary or middle school students preferred.Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills.A second MA DESE licensure and/or a willingness to teach additional subject areas is preferred but not Public Schools strives to create an inclusive and racially affirming environment that welcomes and values the diversity of our staff and students.
