Your responsibilities
As the Manager Center of Excellence in the Global Finance & GBS you will lead a team of Business Controllers ensuring effective people management task coordination as well as optimization and standardization of processes. You will play a pivotal role in driving efficiencies and fostering strong relationships between Business Controllers and business owners across various functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mentor and develop a team of Business Controllers assigned to different Business Units and Functions fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
- Oversee the allocation and prioritization of tasks within the team ensuring timely and accurate completion of the deliverables
- Identify skill gaps recruit talents and plan team succession
- Drive continuous improvement and efficiency through process harmonization and operational excellence
- Drive the optimization and standardization of financial processes and reporting across the organization implementing best practices to enhance efficiency
- Actively engage with stakeholders ensuring collaboration transparency. Foster and promote cross-functional collaboration
- Ensure strong collaboration between Business Controllers and Business owners to ensure alignment and value-added insights deliverables
- Guide the team in monitoring and analyzing financial performance providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior management
- Ensure the preparation and presentation of comprehensive financial reports to stakeholders and functional management teams supporting follow-up ad hoc analyses
- Support the budgeting forecasting and financial planning processes for the respective functions collaborating with various departments to drive financial efficiency and cost control
- Support and develop the KPI and target-setting processes contributing to financial reporting presented to the Executive Management Team and the VELUX Board
- Provide guidance and support to Finance Business Partners other finance colleagues and stakeholders in the business functions with ad hoc queries and insights
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field; a masters degree or professional certification (e.g. CPA CMA) is preferred
- Extensive experience in business controlling or a similar role with proven leadership and people management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive standardization and optimization
- Effective communication presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in financial software and tools
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team high attention to detail and accuracy and a drive to promote optimization and standardization across the business
