The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in Kerrisdale Vancouver BC is looking for an Associate Advisor to join a successful Advisory Team.

You will deepen client relationships by offering sound advice and support to clients and to the Investment Advisor. Identifying and assisting growth of new business opportunities will also be key.

What will you do

  • Reviews day-to-day execution of private banking deals to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Monitors private banking business performance and market conditions when implementing new private banking services.
  • Introduces products and services to high net worth clients.
  • Builds relationships with internal and external customers through the utilization of appropriate tools or technologies.
  • Maintain existing client accounts and identify opportunities to contact clients. You will be responsible for managing timelines and key dates for accounts to help ensure clients feel supported by our team.
  • Respond to client inquiries in an understanding and time-efficient manner (account transactions requests account documentation account reporting etc.).
  • Tap into your superior problem resolution skills to provide proactive client service. Working collaboratively you will at times liaise with various departments to provide smooth and timely solutions.
  • Effectively manage incoming communications from clients Advisors and other internal and external partners.
  • Assist the Advisor team in welcoming and onboarding new clients.
  • Become well-versed in internal controls and industry regulatory requirements ensuring client files and other necessary documentation is accurate up-to-date and compliant.
  • Follow up on client trades to ensure proper settlement and delivery
  • Support the Advisor team and client through the Wealth Management process and maintain an audit of Wealth Management Activities and priorities.

What do you need to succeed

Must-have

  • 3 to 5 years of securities industry experience
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH) and is RR Licensed
  • Strong skills working with business applications/technology including Microsoft Office Suite
  • High quality time management and organization skills
  • Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional warm and friendly to our clients
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities systems and procedures

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable incentive payments) will be determined by factors including but not limited to the candidates experience skills registration status performance individual goals; market conditions; and business needs.

The expected base salary range for this position is $38000 - $55000.

This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment up to 1.5x base salary.
