Position Description:
E-J Electric is seeking an experienced A-Rated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance repair and inspection of a variety of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This role requires strong proficiency in hydraulics diagnostics and state inspections.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines heavy-duty trucks trailers and construction equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems
- Conduct NYS vehicle inspections in compliance with safety standards
- Maintain accurate service records and reports
- Ensure equipment is in safe and reliable operating condition
- Respond to emergency repairs as needed
- Adhere to company and regulatory safety procedures
- A-rated diesel mechanic with minimum 5 years of hands-on experience
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines electrical systems and hydraulics
- Valid NYS Motor Vehicle Inspector License required
- Commercial Drivers License (CDL) preferred must be willing to obtain if not already held
- Ability to read technical manuals schematics and diagnostic tools
- Strong attention to detail organizational and communication skills
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
