The mission of the Louisiana Veterans Homes is to primarily serve the Veterans population of Louisiana through the provision of medical restorative and rehabilitative services in an atmosphere of respect and compassion. The primary objective of home is to provide quality nursing care to eligible veterans with the ultimate goal of returning the veterans to the highest possible levels of physical and mentalcapacity.

Job Duties:
Analyzes data extracts information prepares applications for automated systems and manipulates information in the preparation of complex financial reports and schedules.
Ensures that accurate internal ledgers and records are maintained and are reconciled periodically with reports generated by ISIS agency Accounting Services Division or equivalent.
Responsible for oversight of posting and journalizing ledgers and preparing financial accounts reports.
Communicates with public and private accountants; state federal and independent auditors; banks; brokerage firms; and program or management personnel for the purpose of providing information and technical assistance needed to resolve problems.
Confers with administrators regarding problem areas making recommendations for increasing efficiency and for changing procedures.
Position-Specific Details:
Please note that the schedule of this position is as follows: Monday - Friday 8:00A - 4:30P.
The position will be filled by a probation appointment or promotion of a permanent state employee.
The pay rate for this position is based on the credentials of the applicant and applicants are strongly encouraged to enter all relevant job experience on the application prior to submission.
