Job Description
Senior Accountant Citrus Heights CA (On-Site)
Are you a hands-on accounting professional looking for a new opportunity in the construction industry Were seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join a growing team in the greater Sacramento area.
In this role you/ll support daily accounting operations manage month-end close activities and contribute to financial reporting and compliance. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys both detailed accounting work and collaborating with leadership on process improvements and financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:

Handle daily accounting tasks including general ledger A/P A/R bank reconciliations and cash management

Manage month-end and year-end close processes

Prepare and review journal entries balance sheet reconciliations and financial statements

Assist with audit preparation and ensure compliance with GAAP

Collaborate with HR on payroll-related accounting entries

Contribute to process improvements and help implement best practices

Work closely with leadership to provide financial insights and operational support
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor/s degree in Accounting or related field
-
4 years of accounting experience (construction manufacturing or distribution industry experience preferred)

Strong knowledge of accrual accounting GAAP and financial reporting

Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks ERP systems etc.)

Interest in leadership responsibilities or career growth into a leadership role
