Job Title: Student Worker - Grant Writing Intern - TFNB Your Bank for Life - Charity Champions

Job Classification:Administrative and Office Services Student

Department: Off Campus TFNB Your Bank for Life - Charity Champions

Work Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week.

Desired Length of Employment: Fall and Spring Semester

Pay Rate: $15

  • In a student employee capacity may perform or assist with similar functions of an administrative associate or office manager.

Job Description:

The Grant Writing Interns primary responsibilities will be working with Charity Champions to find grants to help bring funding to these nonprofits. The expectations of the interns are to:

  1. Identify 10 viable grants and draft 5 proposals to foundations and other grant-making organizations each semester. At least 3 of those proposals need to be finalized and submitted by each semesters end.
  2. 50% of clocked-in time must be spent working at organizations offices.
  3. Research potential leads for government corporate and foundation grants
  4. Research statistics facts and relevant local and national information to support each of the Charity Champions
  5. Comply with all grant reporting as required by government/foundations/corporate donors
  6. Will be expected to attend weekly meeting with intern team to update on progress of their work and have at least 1 touch point meeting with organization they serve per week.
  7. Analyze and identify needs within the nonprofits that grants will support
  • Greet visitors with excellent customer service
  • Provide general office administrative or clerical support
  • May assist with handling incoming and outgoing correspondence including phone calls messages and mail
  • May assist with routing and resolving questions or information requests
  • May assist with document preparation filing office records
  • Ensure confidentiality of all pertinent information
  • May assist with office supplies and organization of common areas
  • May assist with data entry tasks spreadsheets and reports
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylors mission
  • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
