Job Description
ATC Metro Detroit is currently looking for a Detailing Garage Laborer in Dimondale MI.
Schedule: Mon-Fri/ 7:30a-4:30p 1 hr lunch.
Pay: $16.00 hourly/Weekly
Job Title: Vehicle Shop and Detailing Associate
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Vehicle Shop and Detailing Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the shop carwash parts area and chemical storage building. This role involves various duties including vehicle detailing new car preparation fueling and moving vehicles around the premises as well as transporting them to/from vendors or customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shop carwash and parts areas.
Clean and organize the chemical storage building in compliance with safety standards.
Perform new vehicle preparation and detailing both interior and exterior ensuring high-quality finishes.
Fuel vehicles as needed and ensure they are ready for use.
Move vehicles around the premises including transporting to and from vendors or customers.
Remove decals and equipment from vehicles as required.
Safely perform physical tasks such as bending stooping kneeling and crawling in and out of tight areas in vehicles.
Operate hand/air tools and vacuum/high-pressure washers for cleaning and detailing purposes.
Qualifications:
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical labor in various conditions.
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check.
Exposure to cleaning chemicals vehicle exhaust and dust is expected with appropriate safety measures in place.
Preferred Skills:
Previous experience working with vehicles including auto electrical systems is highly preferred.
Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of vehicle operations and systems.
Experience with hand tools air tools and high-pressure washers.
Work Environment:
This position will require working in a shop environment with exposure to cleaning chemicals vehicle exhaust and dust. Candidates should be comfortable working in these conditions and performing tasks that require physical stamina and attention to detail.
