The School
The role is within our School of AppliedSciences and Technology. The departments within the School are located on our Grande Prairie campus and our Fairview campus. The School offers a variety of programminginFine Arts Humanities and SocialSciencesSciences and Animal Health Technology. Through this programmingwe offer a variety of certificates diplomas university transfer coursesas well as a degree in computingscience.
The Role
The Fine Arts Department requires apart-time sessional instructor to teach the following coursesfor the 2025-2026 academic year.
Fall term:
- AR1105 - Global Art I
- AR2105 Early Twentieth Century Art
Winter term:
- AR1205 - Global Art II
- AR2205 - Late Twentieth Century Art

This part-time sessional position will commence on August 15 2025 until April 30 2026

Requirements
The successful candidate will have a PhD in Art History. Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include:
- Candidate must havecollege-level teaching experience and able to apply different instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with different learning styles.
- Knowledge of Northwestern Polytechnic courses and current educational technologiesare desired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Highly qualified faculty who seek to continuously improve instruction and meet the need of learners.
- Willingness to work with and support the Teaching & Learning Centre.
- Student Focused.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A high level of integrity professionalism and accountability.
