NDDOT Hiring Salary: $7060 / month

Primary duties associated with this position are as follows:

Provide strategic and operational oversight of the statewide radio tower infrastructure.
Ensure proper functionality safety efficiency and regulatory compliance of radio tower operations.
Manage all communication and devices installed on the towers that are NDDOT related ensuring system reliability and performance.
Utilize GIS tools to inventory and track radio tower sites communication equipment and associated data.
Serve as the primary liaison with district offices to coordinate regular maintenance and timely repairs.
Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and emergency response for tower equipment and devices.
Process and manage all invoices related to radio tower operations including utilities and maintenance services.

Oversee all contractual agreements and lease negotiations related to radio tower sites.
Oversee the timely processing and payment of lease agreements including issuing lease payments to external parties in accordance with contractual terms.
Coordinate access and usage with public and private entities ensuring compliance with agency policies and technical standards.
Maintain documentation related to site access usage agreements and leasing records.

Tower Site Support and Planning
Assist in creating and drafting Requests for Proposals (RFPs) or scopes of work for tower site repairs maintenance or upgrades.
Support the planning and coordination of tower repair activities in collaboration with engineering maintenance and procurement teams.
Track and maintain documentation related to tower condition assessments project plans and vendor performance.

Manage NDDOT Radio Operations
Collaborate with districts and NDIT to assess communication needs and ensure proper system functionality.
Coordinate with NDIT to maintain and configure talk groups for the NDDOT SIRN (Statewide Interoperable Radio Network) ensuring effective communication.

ITS Support
Utilize GIS and asset management systems to track asset status locations serial numbers service dates and warranty information.
Enter and update ITS device information in asset tracking systems and databases.
Collaborate with district offices field technicians and ITS managers to gather inventory data and support equipment tracking.
Assist with tracking asset lifecycle stages including deployment maintenance repair and decommissioning.
Help monitor upcoming replacement needs and flag outdated or failing equipment for review.

Minimum Qualifications
The minimum qualifications for a Transportation Senior Manager include a two-year associate degree in the preferred fields of civil technology or similar and four years of related experience.

Employment of the selected candidate will be contingent on satisfactorily completing the interview process and the required drug test medical screening reference check and driving records check.
