Current services include comprehensive developmental assessments; physical occupational speech language and infant mental health therapy; special education; family counseling; nutrition and feeding therapy; childcare consultation; parenting education; and family resource coordination.

We are seeking to hire someone with proven effectiveness in working with families from a range of cultural backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to racial equity diversity and inclusion to fill the role of Medical Billing Associate. This person will be an integral part of Kinderings Billing Team by supporting
Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Provide support to intake team by training on billing tasks needed for quote of benefits and financial information
Obtain pre-authorization/certification and/or clinical submission from insurance company as needed
Process prescription requests and verification
Create update and maintain clients insurance information in all databases
Insurance billing data entry
Follow-up with insurance companies regarding non-paid/denied claims
Follow-up with families with 30 60 and 90 days delinquent bills
Exit children from services in billing systems
Serve as communication point person for families re: insurance and billing questions
Serve as the communication liaison and point person for program staff insurance companies & billing department
Provide support to intake team to review and evaluate financial inconsistencies for families
Monitor attendance and financial implications for families in coordination with intake team
Proficiently navigate diverse cultural norms in the facilitation and communication between billing team and families
Other duties as assigned by Medical Billing Manager
BA/BS preferred; A.A. degree or equivalent experience
Medical billing experience or education/training preferred
Bilingual spoken and written fluency is an asset
Demonstrate professional interpersonal skills over the phone and in person
A fundamental understanding of current issues and challenges facing individuals from under-served communities including sensitivity to racial equity/diversity
Pass Washington State DSHS criminal history and background check and FBI fingerprint check.
Demonstrate organizational skills ability to follow through on assignments on time and with accuracy provide clear written and verbal communication keep up-to-date written and electronic documentation
Strictly maintain confidentiality of all client information
Demonstrate proficiency in using MS Office
Pass tuberculosis test
Ability to show proof of current immunizations including COVID-19 and MMR vaccine or titer test*
