Overview:



Job Description Summary:


Oversees the assigned site within the Child Care Center providing supervision and training of staff communicating with families and ensuring program quality and health and safety of the children.


Job Description:


Essential Functions:

  • Supervises all teachers and secretarial staff providing leadership and support assisting with interviewing and hiring and evaluating performance.
  • Collaborates to manage and operate the Child Care Center fostering an environment of respect growth and learning. Manages the Center in the Directors absence.
  • Ensures compliance with site and staff licensing requirements reporting any serious risks to licensing and overseeing yearly inspections.
  • Oversees files for all staff and children in accordance with Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services and the Child and Adult Federal Food Program.
  • Performs parent tours and assists with registration process. Attends meetings with Parent Advisory Board on a regular basis.
  • Assists with answering questions from staff and families and addressing developmental or behavioural concerns.

Education Requirement:

  • Associates Degree in Early Education or a related field required.
  • Bachelors Degree preferred.

Skills:

  • Ability to create a professional environment and maintain confidentiality for staff and families.
  • Knowledge of Licensing and SUTQ rules.
  • Knowledge of Child Development and Appropriate Early Childhood Education practices.

Experience:

  • Administrative experience in a Child Care Center or related industry required.
  • Leadership experience in Child Care Center or related industry required

Physical Requirements:
