Essential Functions:
- Supervises all teachers and secretarial staff providing leadership and support assisting with interviewing and hiring and evaluating performance.
- Collaborates to manage and operate the Child Care Center fostering an environment of respect growth and learning. Manages the Center in the Directors absence.
- Ensures compliance with site and staff licensing requirements reporting any serious risks to licensing and overseeing yearly inspections.
- Oversees files for all staff and children in accordance with Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services and the Child and Adult Federal Food Program.
- Performs parent tours and assists with registration process. Attends meetings with Parent Advisory Board on a regular basis.
- Assists with answering questions from staff and families and addressing developmental or behavioural concerns.
Education Requirement:
- Associates Degree in Early Education or a related field required.
- Bachelors Degree preferred.
Skills:
- Ability to create a professional environment and maintain confidentiality for staff and families.
- Knowledge of Licensing and SUTQ rules.
- Knowledge of Child Development and Appropriate Early Childhood Education practices.
Experience:
- Administrative experience in a Child Care Center or related industry required.
- Leadership experience in Child Care Center or related industry required
