Senior Accountant
Citrus Heights CA

About the Company: We are a growing and well-established company in the construction industry seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to support our financial operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical accounting skills who is ready to step into a visible and impactful position. Reporting to the CFO youll manage core accounting functions contribute to financial reporting and support internal controls and compliance.
What Youll Do
- Manage daily accounting tasks: GL A/P A/R bank reconciliations and cash management.
- Perform and support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review journal entries balance sheet reconciliations and financial reports.
- Assist with external audit preparation and support compliance with GAAP.
- Collaborate with HR on payroll-related entries and reporting.
- Contribute to process improvements and implement accounting best practices.
- Work closely with leadership on financial strategy and operational insights.
What Were Looking For
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
- 6 years of accounting experience; leadership exposure or desire to grow into a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting GAAP and financial reporting.
- Prior experience in construction manufacturing or distribution preferred.
- Proficient in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks ERP systems etc.).
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities: (Companies ATS Questions):
1. Do you Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
2. Do you have 6 years of accounting experience; leadership exposure or desire to grow into a leadership role.
3. Do you have Strong understanding of accrual accounting GAAP and financial reporting.
4. Do you have Prior experience in construction manufacturing or distribution preferred.
5. Are you Proficient in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks ERP systems etc.).
6. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
