Job Description
Work Shift:
Day - 8 Hour (United States of America)530a-2p PRNI. Position Summary:
Responsible for the delivery of individual nursing care to all age group of patients. Prioritizes each patients nursing care needs through use of the nursing process of assessment planning implementation and evaluation. Provides care in accordance with Houston Healthcares Plan for the Provision of Nursing Care Standards of Care and Standards of Performance. Provides direction to LPNs and non-professional nursing personnel in providing direct patient care.
II. Qualifications:
A. Education & Training:
Graduate from accredited School of Nursing.
B. Experience:
None. Residency or Fellowship programs may apply depending on department
and experience.
C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Current US state RN license with authorization to practice in the state of GA.
Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Must obtain and maintain required ortho
education/training as mandated in the Houston Healthcare Joint Destination
Center of Excellence Policy.
D. Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Must be able to utilize diagnostic equipment as well as patient care equipment.
Must be able to utilize personal protective equipment such as gloves gown mask etc. Must be able to utilize standard office equipment. Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook Midas etc.).
Proficiency in Intranet/Internet use. Excellent patient care skills. Excellent
oral/written communication skills. Skilled in conflict resolution critical thinking
task management and appropriate prioritization/delegation.
