You will be updated with latest job alerts via email Serve as the AzSkillsUSA State Advisor Career and Technical student organization at the secondary level.
Occasional in-state and out-of-state travel is required for this position.
The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment with up to two days of remote work (contingent upon business needs). Candidates should apply with an ability and willingness to work in-office up to five days per week as business needs necessitate.
Provide leadership for the activities of the Arizona SkillsUSA (AzSkillsUSA) Career and Technical student organization
Organize and coordinate the activities of the AzSkillsUSA State Officers
Prepare statistical descriptive and other reports as requested by the State and National AzSkillsUSA Organizations
Consult with business and industry for support of CTE Programs related to AzSkillsUSA Education programs to develop and/or continue linkages
Collaborate with the CTE Program Specialist aligned with AzSkillsUSA programs to evaluate and make recommendations for improvement and technical assistance to enhance program quality and support AzSkillsUSA chapters
Gather and analyze data prepare statistical descriptive and other reports for program planning and maintain a system of records for AzSkillsUSA
Coordinate and organize workshops regional meetings conferences and state events for students in AzSkillsUSA
Coordinate organize and participate in conferences workshops seminars and tours and make in-depth visits to business and industry in order to update professional competence and provide program improvement
Help coordinate the activities for the statewide AzSkillsUSA Advisory Board
Conduct program planning and development with business industry and local education agencies
Plan organize for and conduct statewide teacher in-service workshops
Organize the activities of the statewide state officers
Knowledge in:
Career and Technical Education Student Organization (CTSO) AzSkillsUSA
Organization and management of a CTSO
Industrial Trades Career Education program areas
CTE instructional materials and their availability and applicability to curriculum as appropriate to Industrial Trades Career Education and how the CTSO is integral to the CTE classroom
Principles and practices of public-school organization and administration and how they relate to CTE and CTSOs
Classroom Management Teaching Techniques utilized in CTE
Overseeing Techniques (i.e. evaluation procedures for staff and programs
Applicants must have taught or administered a secondary post-secondary or career guidance program in a CTE related field.
Applicants must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card or the ability to obtain one prior to employment start date.
