General ResponsibilitiesUnder the general direction of the Director Wellness and Treatment Services and reporting directly to the assigned Clinical Supervisor the Mental Health Therapist-Telehealth works as part of the treatment team to provide counseling and therapeutic support to students via telehealth services.
Salary: Below are the full salary ranges which will be determined by experience and licenses held:
- Mental Health Therapist I: $50370.64 - $61271.32 annually / $34.98 - $42.55 hourly
- Mental Health Therapist II: $54892.19 - $66786.46 annually / $38.12 - $46.38 hourly
Assignment:This position will be full-time and work 180 days per year. The candidate in this position will need to qualified as a Mental Health Counselor or Therapist for billing. We provide clinical supervision at no cost to our staff and work related travel will be reimbursed in accordance with ESD 112 travel policies and procedures. Anticipated start date is August 18 2025.
Location:The person in this role will provide telehealth services from the Vancouver Washington office location.
Essential Functions/Other FunctionsEssential Functions:- Provide mental health services using HIPPA compliant video technology.
- Provide limited site based visits to regional schools to introduce the program and develop working relationships with school staff students and families participating in the program.
- Provide telehealth assessment intake and therapeutic support to identified youth who will be in a remote location at school within the home or while placed within community programs.
- Work with students and when indicated their guardians in the development of an individual support plan which is strength based measurable and assists students in meeting their goals.
- Actively participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team including but not limited to guardians and other natural supports school and district staff primary care community partners and other team members as indicated.
- Identify barriers to student success in the school and community. Refer and connect youth/students to appropriate community resources and services (i.e. support groups mentoring tutoring clothing health care food housing transportation).
- Administer and assess evidence-based measurement tools to track student improvement success and readiness for service conclusion.
- Maintain complete and timely documentation in the electronic health record as required by law and administrative regulations.
- Participate in AESD telehealth project trainings meetings and data collection.
Other Functions:- Participate in staff meetings group consultations and training.
- Maintain knowledge of best practices in the mental health field.
- Follow policies and procedures for ESD 112 and Wellness and Treatment Services.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & SkillsMinimum Qualifications:- Masters degree or higher in Counseling Social Work Marriage and Family Therapy or Psychology.
- Qualify as a child mental health counselor or therapist for billing.
- Qualify as a licensed WA State Agency Affiliated Counselor.
Preferred Qualifications:- Hold or ability to obtain a unrestricted Washington license (LMHC LMFT or LICSW).
- Experience with telehealth.
- Experience working with schools and community-based programs.
- Familiar with Washington mental health agencies and resources.
- Bilingual.

Employment Requirements:- Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the WA state patrol and FBI.
