Position Summary
Career Readiness Learning Objectives: Critical Thinking - The GA will support faculty in various classroom exercises and research opportunities. Professionalism - The GA will exhibit professionalism through punctuality effective communication maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards. The primary responsibility of the Graduate Assistant for the Master of Science in Criminalistics degree program is to assist Dr. Yeshion Program Director at the Forensic Investigation Center ( FIC ) as needed. This includes helping to prepare lab experiments for the various courses taught by Dr. Yeshion and to assist in cleaning up after students have done their labs. In addition the GA will maintain the dirt box used for casting shoe track impressions assist student groups when creating mock crime scenes and assist with tours of the FIC . When not at the FIC the GA will assist Dr. Yeshion and the Criminal Justice Program with other requests such as making copies of documents assisting with grading and any other work approved by Dr. Yeshion or Libby Tirak that benefits the department.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift between 10-30 pounds occasionally; traveling from Palumbo Academic Building to Forensic Investigation House; and walking up and down stairs several times in a day. propriate physical demands here.
Required Qualifications
Organizational skills lab experiment experience helpful; computer and office skills will be helpful
Preferred Qualifications
Experience or education in lab environments Knowledge of FIC House and its components Computer and copier skills
