Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to support our civil and environmental engineering teams. This position is ideal for an early-career professional (15 years experience) who is pursuing or has recently earned an E.I.T. and is working toward P.E. licensure.
The role includes technical design drafting data analysis fieldwork and supporting project delivery. Interns will work under the guidance of senior engineers and have opportunities for mentorship hands-on field experience and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation of engineering drawings reports and design documents
- Support construction observation and field data collection
- Perform calculations and basic modeling related to civil/environmental systems
- Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams
- Learn and apply regulatory requirements (e.g. permitting environmental compliance)
- Maintain organized documentation of field and design work
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or currently enrolled in a related program)
- 15 years of relevant work experience (internships or entry-level roles)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or other design software
- Desire to pursue P.E. licensure and grow professionally
- Ability to travel for occasional field work
Preferred Qualifications
- I.T. certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Previous experience with construction management environmental permitting or stormwater
- Familiarity with ArcGIS or similar spatial tools
- Experience writing technical reports or memoranda

Salary Range
$60000 - $80000 per year (Depending on experience)
