Schedule: Full-time Tentative Schedule: Wednesday-Sunday 7:00am-3:30pm (Monday & Tuesday off)

As a Rest Area Specialist at the Stanfield Rest Area youll help keep the area clean safe and welcoming for travelers on I-84. If youre handy take pride in your work and enjoy being outside this is a great opportunity to make a real difference!
What Youll Do:
Keep restrooms and grounds clean and safe
Do basic maintenance like fixing small plumbing or electrical issues
Use tools and equipment to mow trim paint clean and more
Remove snow in winter and help with irrigation in summer
Talk with travelers and offer help if needed
Respond to emergency issues at the site
Working Conditions:
This job involves working both indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather. Youll move around buildings and the grounds sometimes on rough or slippery surfaces stairs or inclines. Youll need to use your vision hearing manual dexterity communication and motor skills to perform duties including emergency response.
Youll regularly:
Lift and move up to 50 pounds
Use ladders and reach above your head
Work on your hands and knees
Bend crouch kneel climb twist push and pull
What We Are Looking For:
Minimum Qualifications:
Six months of experience operating heavy or light motorized equipment using hand and power tools performing minor servicing of equipment general landscaping maintenance mechanical farming logging and/or construction experience or training.
Special Requirements/Licenses:
Requires a valid drivers license from the state where you reside.
You also must obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR certification and Bloodborne Pathogens training from an agency-accepted certification authority.
You must live within a 60 minutes of the Stanfield Rest Area to respond to emergencies. If moving you must move within 90 days of the start date.
Desired Attributes:
Were looking for someone who has:
Experience with basic repairs like plumbing electrical painting janitorial work and landscaping.
Skills using snow removal equipment and irrigation systems.
A strong understanding of federal and state safety rules and proper use of protective gear
Great communication and customer service skills
Basic computer skills (email Word Excel)
The ability to manage time stay organized and meet deadlines
Leadership skills to guide team members safely and effectively.
