Job Description Summary:
Draper has an exciting opportunity for a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) to join the Special Programs Team in Cambridge. The CPSO is an intermediate security professional who performs the duties as the CPSO and/or the Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO). The individual will work under the direction of the Team Lead. The CPSO/CSSO works closely with Government/customer Security Offices to ensure all security obligations are met. This role performs all aspects of on-site execution of program security requirements for assigned Special Access Programs (SAP)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs to ensure compliance with regulatory guidance. This role is responsible for developing implementing interpreting and applying all requisite national security directives with specific emphasis on the Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) DoD Manual 5205.07 DoD Manual 5105.21-M-1 and the CFR 32 Part 117 (NISPOM Rule). In addition the CPSO will monitor classified information systems and controlled areas track personnel security processing conduct self-inspections oversee the implementation/completion of corrective action places and thoroughly investigate and document security violations/adverse information reports.Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensures and maintains compliance of all security requirements of assigned programs and areas.
Conducts security self-inspections and develops corrective actions to address deficiencies and improve the overall security posture across each program.
Provides security guidance and direction for security related questions to multiple levels of Draper management and technical staff.
Implements Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Concept of Operations (CONOPs) and Program Protection Plan (PPP) that assures compliance with government policy/manuals.
Generates appliable Fixed Facility Checklist(s) (FFC) and Construction Security Plan(s) for the construction and/or modification of SAPF(s) IAW the governments physical security specifications.
Conducts administrative inquiries of security incidents.
Develop and execute program specific Security Education Training and Awareness (SETA) program structured to meet the needs of briefed personnel.
Provide training and direction to assigned ACPSO(s)/security specialists.
Respond to after-hours alarm and emergency conditions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills/Abilities:
Must be a US Citizen with an active in-scope (investigation completed date or CE date within 5 years of start date) Top Security clearance eligibility.
Strong written and professional communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Detailed oriented.
Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Knowledge of NISP/SAP/SCI regulations.
Able to travel locally or nationally.
Education:
Associates Degree in Security Management or related field Bachelors Degree in Security Management or related field preferred.
High School diploma with 4 to 6 years of comparable work experience; previously cleared candidate with a background in Industrial Security Technology Government Business Administration or other related discipline.
Experience:
2-4 years of experience in a DoD DoE or other industrial security program.
Additional Job Description:
Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
Current in scope Top Secret security clearance is required.
