About KidsXpress
KidsXpress is a childrens mental health organisation delivering trauma informed culturally responsive Expressive Therapy and Education Services to children under the age of 12yrs their caregivers school communities and community partners. Our services are delivered through Community Partnership Programs School Partnership Programs and Training & Education Services.
Through expressive therapies and tailored support programs we empower children their families and communities to build resilience foster positive mental health and navigate lifes challenges. Our innovative approach combines therapeutic practices with a compassionate community focus helping children and families thrive.
About our Community Partnership Program
The Community Partnership Program works within a multidisciplinary team at a Medicare Mental Health Hub to provide children and their families accessing this service with specialised mental health support.
Our KidsXpress Expressive therapist and Parent Coach work within this team providing therapy and parenting support.
About the Role
As a KidsXpress Expressive Therapist you will deliver individual and group therapy to children and support their caregivers including:
About You
You are a creative collaborative and self-aware professional who is passionate about supporting children and their caregivers. You are resilient with the ability to be flexible and adapt and your well-developed communication skills enable you to quickly build rapport with clients. You have experience in providing assessment therapy and support to school aged children and their caregivers underpinned by your strong understanding of child development trauma informed practice and therapeutic frameworks for working with children.
