THE ROLE
At Kyabra the Intake and Assessment team is responsible for providing an initial point of contact in relation to community members who present to the organisation for assistance.
The Intake and Assessment Worker will assist with this particularly in relation to child safety-specific enquires around foster and kinship care (FKC). This will include responding to expressions of interest from community members seeking to become foster/kinship carers initial assessments of foster and kinship carers and facilitating out-of-home placements.
This position will work in conjunction with the Manager Coordinator and other team members and be primarily responsible for:
The focus of this position is to facilitate out-of-home placements (i.e. matching children/young people with Kyabras foster carers). This position will also undertake initial phone-based intake and assessment as well as some centre-based and outreach functions in relation to FKC and general enquiries. This role is based at Kyabras Runcorn office but will be expected to also work out of our Richlands location as per a roster.
Hours of Work
The successful candidate is expected to work full-time hours (76h 00m per fortnight).
