Join a forward-thinking team and provide expert geriatric care across
inpatient, outpatient, and community settings, supporting elderly patients through:
- Transitional care programs GEM, , HITH, RITH
- Collaborative, multidisciplinary care with GPs, allied health, and specialists
- Community-based initiatives that truly impact patient outcomes
You will also contribute to medical education and clinical leadership, supporting trainees and medical students as part of an accredited training program.
About the Hospital- 172-bed modern teaching hospital
- Serves a catchment of ~100,000 people
- Provides a broad range of acute services including Emergency, General Medicine, Surgery, ICU, Paediatrics, and Mental Health
- Home to two resident geriatricians and a strong MDT
- Committed to innovation, education, and quality improvement
Key Responsibilities- Deliver expert geriatric assessment and ongoing care
- Lead and participate in community geriatrics programs (e.g., , RITH, HITH)
- Collaborate with GPs and allied health for integrated care
- Supervise and educate junior medical staff and students
- Contribute to governance, service development, and clinical research
About You- FRACP in Geriatric Medicine (or equivalent)
- Eligible for Specialist Registration with AHPRA
- Strong background in geriatric care across settings
- Collaborative, team-oriented, and patient-focused
- Passionate about service innovation, education, and clinical excellence
