Job Description
Location: Williamsport PA 17701
Shift: Variable shift 8 Hours
Duration: 12-weeks contract
Weekly Pay: $1920 $2120
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments equipment and supplies
- Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies during procedures
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control practices
- Ensure proper care and handling of surgical specimens
- Assist with draping gowning and gloving of the surgical team
- Set up and operate surgical equipment as needed
- Perform counts of sponges needles and instruments according to hospital policy
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Participate in cleaning restocking and turnover of operating rooms between cases
- Communicate effectively with surgeons nurses and other perioperative staff
- Adhere to facility policies procedures and professional standards of practice
Requirements:
- 2 or more years of visible specialty experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
- National certification (NBSTSA or NCCT) required
- Current BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
- Experience in a variety of surgical specialties preferred
- Ability to adapt to variable shifts and surgical team assignments
- Excellent communication teamwork and organizational skills

- Locals accepted - local pay rate will apply for candidates residing within 75 miles.
