Sonography/Ultrasound Tech Permanent Role Location: Brenham TX 77833
Shift: Variable 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 10 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Functions - Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures following exam protocols and safety standards
- Ensure accurate patient identification and proper exam selection using AIDET communication principles
- Educate and instruct patients and families regarding the procedure
- Prepare and position patients and equipment to perform diagnostic imaging
- Maintain sterile techniques for invasive procedures and follow infection-control policies
- Adhere to radiation safety and drug safety guidelines
- Deliver timely accurate cost-efficient services in line with policies and regulations
- Provide high-level patient service including minimizing wait times and maintaining professionalism
- Respond appropriately in emergency situations and administer first aid when necessary
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills for providing care across age groups: newborn pediatric young adult adult and geriatric

Qualifications: Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Certification/License:
- ARRT-BS (Breast Sonography)
- ARRT-S (Sonography)
- MSK (Musculoskeletal Sonography)
- RDMS-AB (Abdomen)
- RDMS-BR (Breast)
- RDMS-OB (OB/GYN)
- RVS (Registered Vascular Sonographer)
- RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist)
- Other equivalent certifications through ARDMS ARRT or CCI
