Job Description
RN-Emergency Room Permanent Role
- Location: Lakeway TX 78738
- Shift: 12 HR Nights 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed: 36 Hours
- Compensation: Based on experience.
- Perform detailed clinical assessments of patients in the ER
- Prioritize patient and family needs
- Develop implement and revise individualized care plans
- Promote therapeutic relationships with patients and families
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Provide patient and family education to promote health literacy and informed decision-making
- Regularly assess and document patient learning needs
- Delegate and monitor tasks to other care team members appropriately
- Problem-solve and use critical thinking to address patient and family issues
- Ensure care delivery is safe effective and efficient
- Support and contribute to team growth and staff development
- Participate in community service initiatives
- Strong knowledge of nursing standards practices and local/state regulations
- Proficiency in emergency nursing practices and medical terminology
- Knowledge of disease prevention health promotion and medication effects
- High ethical standards respecting patient privacy and confidentiality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Competency in basic computer skills including EMR (electronic medical records) Microsoft Office and hospital software systems
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN license in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (or obtained within 30 days of hire).
