Job Description

Ultrasound Technician/Technologist Contract Role
  • Location: Watertown New York 13601
  • Duration: 13 Weeks
  • Shift: 12-hour VARYING shifts
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Weekly Pay Rate: $2232 - $2376
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations including general vascular and obstetric studies.
  • Ensure proper patient identification positioning and preparation for exams.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment safely and effectively adjusting techniques as necessary for optimal imaging results.
  • Analyze images and provide technical impressions to the interpreting physician.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation according to facility policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with patients families and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Demonstrate initiative and good judgment in all aspects of daily work.
  • Follow infection control and safety policies.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology or Medical Sonography.
  • Minimum of one year of radiologic/imaging experience.
  • Specific training and experience in Medical Sonography including vascular and obstetric ultrasound.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registry eligible.
  • Current BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy physiology and medical terminology.
  • Excellent interpersonal organizational written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Demonstrated integrity honesty and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to exercise independent initiative and sound decision-making.

Note:

  • Locals accepted - local pay rate will apply for candidates residing within 60 miles.
