Job Description

RN Emergency Department Permanent Role

Location: Temple TX 76508
Shift: Variable Shift
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Compensation: Based on experience

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and prioritize the needs of patients and their families.
  • Develop implement evaluate and adjust individualized care plans to achieve patient-centered outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain professional and therapeutic relationships with patients and families showing empathy and professionalism.
  • Provide patient and family education to empower them to make informed health decisions.
  • Regularly assess and document the educational needs of patients and families.
  • Coordinate care planning with colleagues and community resources.
  • Delegate tasks safely and follow up to ensure quality of care.
  • Apply effective problem-solving strategies with patients families and team members.
  • Identify limitations and ensure safety effectiveness and efficiency in patient care delivery.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to meet care goals.
  • Support and contribute to peer development and community service initiatives.
Key Success Factors:
  • Strong knowledge of nursing standards procedures and patient care best practices.
  • Familiarity with state nursing laws rules and ethical guidelines.
  • Understanding of hospital policies procedures and infection control standards.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology disease prevention patient management medications and their side effects.
  • Commitment to patient privacy confidentiality and professional ethics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for working with a diverse patient and staff population.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills including electronic medical documentation Microsoft Office scheduling and email.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited RN program (Associate Degree in Nursing or higher).
  • Valid RN license in Texas.
  • BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • A minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience is required.
