Job Description:
- 4-year degree in Industrial Engineering or related degree required with 4 to 7 years of related work experience.
- Must be proficient with factory floor simulation tool(s) (such as FlexSim) 2D AutoCAD MS Office and MS Visio lean manufacturing and DFMA methodologies.
- Ability to operate basic hand and measurement tools is a must.
- Performance of data collection of current state production to deepen understanding of current production and development of baselines for future improvements.
- Ideation of process development improvements to be made that have been identified by the team.
- Design and simulation of cellular and system layouts process flows time studies and line balancing activities of current and future state of operations.
- Completion of work instructions for each solution created.
- Supporting the protype build from conception through implementation.
- Ability to read create and follow basic mechanical engineering drawings to support prototyping efforts.
- Ability to create 2D operational layouts for cellular and system improvements.
- Identify equipment and other asset requirements necessary to facilitate process improvements and work directly with suppliers on equipment specifications and quoting.
- Travel will be necessary.
