Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) specializing in tax to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills a thorough understanding of tax laws and regulations and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients. This role involves preparing tax returns conducting research on tax issues and providing strategic advice to help clients optimize their tax positions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals corporations and partnerships
- Conduct thorough tax research to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients to minimize tax liabilities
- Respond to inquiries from tax authorities
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and timely service
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and regulations that may affect clients
- Collaborate with other team members to deliver comprehensive financial services
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master s degree or advanced degree in Taxation preferred
- Active CPA license
- 3 years of experience in individual/company tax return preparation emphasis on company returns
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
- Ability to read and understand financial statements
- Knowledge of tax preparation software and tools (e.g. UltraTax ProConnect or equivalent)
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
