Job Description

Job Title: Mainframe Programmer Analyst
Location: Atlanta GA (Hybrid must report onsite as needed)

Job Summary:

The client is seeking an experienced Mainframe Programmer Analyst to support system maintenance and enhancements for the Special Projects Team. The role involves full SDLC responsibilities including design development testing and on-call production support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL JCL CICS DB2 VSAM

  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to gather and translate requirements

  • Develop and execute unit integration and user acceptance test plans

  • Coordinate with DBAs and other support teams for successful project delivery

  • Provide on-call production support as needed

Required Skills & Experience:
  • 10 years in Mainframe development

  • Expert in COBOL JCL CICS DB2 VSAM

  • Proficient in DB2 Utilities (QMF SPUFI) and IBM tools (IEBGENER IDCAMS ICETOOL DEBUGGER SORT)

  • Hands-on with tools like CHANGEMAN and CONTROL-M

  • Experience with z/OS platform

  • Strong communication problem-solving and SDLC experience

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
