Project: Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12 Upgrade Initiative
Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead a full lifecycle Oracle EBS R12 upgrade project. This role is ideal for a project leader who has evolved from a strong functional technical or Apps DBA background and has hands-on understanding of Oracle EBS environments.
The qualified candidate must have successfully led at least three Oracle EBS R12 upgrade projects end-to-end with deep understanding of project planning stakeholder coordination and execution of major upgrade phases including CRP SIT UAT and production cutover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Oracle EBS R12 upgrade project across DEV UAT SIT and PROD environments
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to prepare the project charter and detailed project plan
- Conduct and lead Discovery sessions working sessions and CRP/UAT/SIT meetings
- Develop and manage cutover plans risk mitigation strategies and communication plans
- Ensure smooth coordination between functional technical Apps DBA and QA teams
- Provide regular status reports and escalate issues in a timely manner
- Work closely with Oracle support as needed for patching bugs or upgrade blockers
- Coordinate travel to client site during major project milestones
- 3 full lifecycle Oracle EBS R12 upgrade project experiences (from 12.1 or 12.2.x to 12.2.12/13/14)
- Proven background in Oracle EBS as a functional consultant Apps DBA or technical developer
- Strong understanding of Oracle EBS Financials HRMS and P2P modules
- Familiarity with Oracle EBS tech stack and environments (AppsTier DB Tier AD/TXK cloning patching)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven stakeholder engagement experience
- PMP or Oracle project management certifications are a plus
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or cloud migration projects
- Experience with EBS customizations RICE components and regression testing planning
- Exposure to global rollouts and multi-org/multi-BU environments
